Girlfriends' Cyber Circuit: Starring Elizabeth Scott!

There's another cool girlfriend stopping by to visit me today: Elizabeth Scott! Elizabeth's new book, THE UNWRITTEN RULE, just released this week and looks so good!

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Everyone knows the unwritten rule: You don't like you best friend's boyfriend.

Sarah has had a crush on Ryan for years. He's easy to talk to, supersmart, and totally gets her. Lately it even seems like he's paying extra attention to her. Everything would be perfect except for two things: Ryan is Brianna's boyfriend, and Brianna is Sarah's best friend.

Sarah forces herself to avoid Ryan and tries to convince herself not to like him. She feels so guilty for wanting him, and the last thing she wants is to hurt her best friend. But when she's thrown together with Ryan one night, something happens. It's wonderful...and awful.

Sarah is torn apart by guilt, but what she feels is nothing short of addiction, and she can't stop herself from wanting more...

OUR INTERVIEW:

KRISTINA: In my book, THE ESPRESSOLOGIST, Jane, a coffee barista, matchmakes people based on their favorite coffee drinks. What’s your favorite coffee drink? (If you don’t like coffee, tell me what your favorite drink in general is. But I am sorry, you’ll never find love. Kidding!)

ELIZABETH: I'm actually allergic to coffee--sorry! So I don't have a favorite coffee drink. I think it smells amazing, though!

KRISTINA: I am always curious about when and where writers write. Can you tell me about your schedule and your favorite place to work?

ELIZABETH: I like to work at home, and I try to schedule at least a few hours every day to get off line and just write!

KRISTINA: What is your most favorite (or, weirdest, craziest, funniest, most touching etc.) comment you’ve received from a fan?

ELIZABETH: I once got a letter from someone who didn't like my first novel, Bloom--and that same person wrote me back about a year later to say they'd read the book again and that they now liked it! It really meant a lot to me--not just because they'd read the book again and liked it, but because they'd decided to read the book again. I mean, that's amazing!

KRISTINA: Are you on twitter? Where can we follow you?

ELIZABETH: I am! You can find me on: http:///www.twitter.com/escottwrites -- hope to see you there!

KRISTINA: What are you working on now?

ELIZABETH: My next novel, Grace, will be out this September. It's about a girl who has been raised to be a suicide bomber--and what happens to her when she decides she doesn't want to die.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Elizabeth Scott grew up in a town so small it didn't even have a post office, though it did boast an impressive cattle population. She's sold hardware and panty hose and had a memorable three-day stint in the dot-com industry, where she learned that she really didn't want a career burning CDs. She lives just outside Washington, DC, with her husband; firmly believes you can never own too many books; and would love it if you visited her website: www.ElizabethWrites.com
