ABOUT THE BOOK:
Being Bad Never Felt So Good.
Poppy Browne had never stolen anything in her life before moving to Pleasant Acres, Texas and meeting Mary Jane and Whitney. But when Poppy walks out of the mall with her two new friends and her first pair of stolen jeans, she’s hooked.
Before long, Poppy is lifting whenever she gets the urge—it’s never about the merchandise, it’s always about the thrill. But when her secret gets out, the girls in Poppy’s clique turn on one another. As she watches her life collapse around her, Poppy must decide where her loyalties lie … and how far she’ll go to protect herself.
OUR INTERVIEW:
KRISTINA: In my book, THE ESPRESSOLOGIST, Jane, a coffee barista, matchmakes people based on their favorite coffee drinks. What’s your favorite coffee drink?
WENDY: I love everything about coffee, except for the taste! So I can handle an iced latte as long as it’s got flavoring such as vanilla in it. I’m more of a tea person.
KRISTINA: Why do you write MG/YA as opposed to other types of fiction?
WENDY: I think the teen years are some of the most interesting. You aren’t a child and have your whole life ahead of you, yet everything is still fun and fresh and you’re discovering who you are. Of course, there’s all sorts of drama—from family, friends, enemies, romantic interests—but that only makes life more interesting. I remember what it was like to be a teen, and having them tell me I “get them” is one of the greatest compliments I ever get.
KRISTINA: What three things must you have while you’re writing?
WENDY: Diet Coke, a thumbnail to chew on, and my creative mindset.
KRISTINA: What is your most favorite (or, weirdest, craziest, funniest, most touching etc.) comment you’ve received from a fan?
WENDY: Favorite: Your book made me want to read. Funniest: Are you single, and if so, what are you doing tonight? Weirdest: What kind of car do you drive?
KRISTINA: What are you working on now?
WENDY: Laundry. J
KRISTINA: Oh my gosh, me too! We’re such multi-taskers. J Thanks for stopping by Wendy! Can’t wait to read your book!
